Criterium-Bustamante Engineers offers a full range of consulting engineering services to Community Associations. Think of us as your own engineering staff. Our most typical services include reserve studies and transition studies, but we are happy to customize our proposal and services to meet your needs. Please review the following for a sample listing of other engineering services we can provide.

  • Plans and Specifications Development and Review - When work is authorized, it is generally a poor idea to simply ask several contractors for bids. Each contractor may choose a different scope so a properly developed set of plans and specifications is needed. The projects include: roofing and siding, drainage and stormwater management, paving and other site and building related items.

  • Cost Estimating - The costs in a reserve study are only opinions of probable costs. In some cases more accurate estimating may be necessary.

  • Bid Solicitation and Review - Criterium-Bustamante Engineers can put together a complete bid package for contractors and help you in evaluating their bids to help ensure consistency and completeness.

  • Contract Administration and Construction Monitoring - Once a contract has been executed we can provide third party periodic construction monitoring to check for compliance of the contract documents and process payments including change orders.

  • Investigation and Analysis - Many times, unforeseen problems arise.  Criterium-Bustamante Engineers is ready to assist you identify the cause(s) and file an insurance claim if necessary.

  • Special Engineering Investigations - On occasion, Associations have the need to investigate specific community components - such as paving, siding, retaining walls, roofs, etc. - due to ongoing problems or possible construction quality concerns.  With our building inspection expertise, Criterium-Bustamante Engineers is uniquely qualified to perform these investigations.

  • Design and Repair Design Services - Whether you need a plan of repair for a common element or would like to add a feature or enhance your association, Criterium-Bustamante Engineers, as a full service engineering company, can develop an appropriate design.

  • Litigation Support - Although no one likes to consider legal action, should the need arise to pursue the developer or a contractor, you should know that Criterium-Bustamante Engineers can stand with you to provide support and testimony as necessary
